Basically, I've been finding so many amazing brands around lately that I just wanted to set up a way the I could share them all with you, including some of my favourite items that are available from the site right now!

aw man isn't this lovely, also turns out I really like spotty items lately? who knew.

Wishlist #3 - Bag Envy

Anti-clockwise from top right:

So recently I've caught myself enviously staring at other people's bags, as people in London seem to have amazing taste, and a lot of money to spend on bags it seems. So for this wishlist I found two really amazing gorgeous top of the range tote bags which I've seen around London, both of which are really quite a spend so would definitely have to be a serious #treatyourself purchase whereas the other two rucksacks are more day to day and come at a much more casual price tag as well.
I'm really loving the black zip rucksack look right now though I must say.
What about you? What's your kind of bag?

Charlotte's Tea House

Ahh, let me introduce you to possibly one of my most favourite places to go in any situation ever. It's the most beautiful little tea house in Truro, and it's decorated like a Victorian living room with beautiful curtains, chandeliers and paintings as you can see from the photos up above! Currently it was also decorated with loads of christmassy goodness which made it even more lovely than usual.
Luke and I had a pot of tea for two, I had the Davidstow cheddar, onion and tomato quiche (which was GORGEOUS man Davidstow cheddar is the nicest cheese), whereas Luke went for a potato toastie, which I've had before and it's nearly almost as nice as the quiche.
For desert I had apple pie with ice cream, and this desert is the reason I live, honestly, I wish this place did deliveries of some kind because I would have to order a whole pie for myself every week it's ridiculous how lovely this is. Luke had carrot cake, which although nice is average compared to the heaven on a plate that is the apple pie. Trust me on this one.
Basically, if you ever holiday in Cornwall and end up in Truro (which you probably will it's the only city in the county!) then head to Charlotte's Tea House, it's a bit hidden but it's definitely a gem worth finding!

5 Ways to Make a Bad Day Better

I sometimes find it hard to stay as positive as I'd like to be, and especially so since I've moved out of home and have to rely on myself even more. Without constantly having a parent around, I've had to find other ways to fill my time, and when you're not feeling that great it's quite hard to want to do anything other than lay in your bed.

  1. Get outside and just walk/run. Don't plan on doing anything just take a walk of about 30 minutes or so, and listen to some music while you're at it. Personally I enjoy running, because you just get into this mindset of running and nothing else can really trouble you while you're doing it! I also normally feel super productive after a run too as it really wakes you up for doing anything else!
  2. Choose a beautiful place, like a beach, a local park, somewhere with a view, and sit there for a while, maybe take some food and just look around. Coffee shops are also good places to do this, especially to people watch.
  3. Work on a hobby, or find something that you enjoy doing by yourself, e.g blogging, or shopping, or writing, photography, art, sport, the list is endless! If you feel like you don't have a hobby, start looking for something wether it be nerdy or sporty or arty there is always something out there for someone! I used to think I found nothing interesting, until I got into blogging and writing, and the fruitition of that was this blog and writing reviews for my friend's blog thnksfrthrvw which has helped me turn my passion to music into something even more.
  4. Send a friend a message to meet up, no matter how down you feel someone will be there to help you/spend time with you, even if it's just to take your mind of it, which is sometimes all people need!
  5. lastly, have a pamper yourself day! Stay in, watch some netflix, make yourself a really extravagant meal and go all out, have a desert too if you can! Honestly, paint your nails, give yourself a full facial, and a lovely long bubble bath with some lush products, and that's guaranteed to lift your mood!

I hope this ideas help you, they aren't life changing but after a rubbish day at school/uni/work these have helped me massively! Keeping happy is all mental, but that doesn't mean some physical things can help!

Friday Catch Up #1

Mum and I found the Moomin shop in Covent Garden!
Chillling with the Sphinx by Cleopatra's needle

St Paul's Cathedral

Hello again! I thought I'd post a few photos of my last few weeks, as a little summary of what I've been up to! Obviously these photos aren't completely representative... The majority of the photos on my phone are either photos of worksheets or rocks, and I wish I was joking. I've honestly been so busy, I've been auditioning for shows left right and centre (so far no luck lul) and hopefully I might be hearing about a radio show soon! I keep meaning to actually make more posts about outfits and exciting things but I can never find time to take a photo of myself/never feel comfortable! Hopefully I'll have time soon!
Also I'm hopfully making this Friday post a regular thing, so hopefully I'll have another post like this for you next week! Thanks for reading!

London Life Update

Okay so I've now been living in London for just over 3 weeks, and I'm just finished my second week of my university course!
This has perhaps been the most busiest month of my entire life, I've met so many new people (& forgotten so many names!) and learnt so much stuff about living on my own... and also the stuff from my university course obviously!! Although some of it is ridiculously hard, and when I mean some, I basically just mean chemistry, the bane of my life.
I've never really been a massive chef before, normally just the odd bake, so having to fend for myself in the kitchen has actually been surprisingly enjoyable. I have even ventured so far as making ratatouille, however by the time I made it I was too ill to eat it, and Luke had to finish it :( luckily my mum has been visiting me this weekend so I've had more substantial meals then my normal pasta and sauce late night cba to cook diet as of late! Although I have splurged on a recipe book so hopefully I will soon be a moderate cook!

This is a picture of me in my room on the very first day I moved in, I tried to make my room as colourful as possible! Currently it is a bit of a state though so hopefully I'll manage to keep it a bit tidier! More London updates soon hopefully x

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner - Review

So I recently took the plunge and went and bought this newest gel eyeliner from Benefit cosmetics on an impulse while in my latest boots.
The packaging itself is quite lovely, and it matches with the other They're Real products that Benefit has released. The only problem with the packaging is that sometimes the gel liner can clog the applicator, but this is easily managed if you clean it after use if you have the time!
The actual product is lovely, you twist the bottom and the gel is pushed up into the flexible applicator. You then slide this along your eyelid, it moves fluidly, but sometimes not enough gel is released and several applications are required to truly get a dark line. This isn't really a problem for me, as I sometimes use this eyeliner as an outline before filling in with a pencil eyeliner for more colour. This isn't great, but I still find the applicator makes the whole process so much easier (honestly, I've NEVER been able to do eyeliner this well) that it's still worth the purchase.
The eyeliner itself also has brilliant staying power, it doesn't drift nor crease, which is perfect.
If you're looking for the perfect gel applicator, this isn't quite it, but it's about as close as you are going to get in the current market. I also firmly believe the positives of this product completely outweigh it's negatives. Boots are currently offering a trade-in, bring an old eyeliner and swap for a sample of They're Real! So get in and give it a try!
Honestly the neatest line I could ever draw ever.

also check out my university accommodation, I got the brightest duvet that I could possibly find.

My University Bucketlist

So, a couple of weeks ago I found out that I'd got a place into university! When I first heard, I was super excited, especially since I'm attending a university within London, but as the time to move is creeping nearer I've been thinking more about what I really need to do while I'm away. Obviously the first thing is that I need to start packing all my clothes and necessities, and then cart it all the way up to London from Cornwall! It's going to be a very busy week, I stop work on Saturday and from Sunday to Wednesday it's frantic packing and trying to say goodbye to as many people as possible before I'm off to Christmas.

However the packing and moving isn't really the biggest thing on my mind, I'm trying to focus on what comes next, and what I need to do to really make the most of my university experience.

  1. Try not to get too distracted from my actual studies, and actually do work! (hoping my extensive revision from A Levels can be replicated again)
  2. Meet lots of new people and try out lots of new things, pick up a new hobby etc.
  3. Explore London and not just get stuck in the trap of never straying on the trodden path.
  4. Be more confidant in myself, and what I'm doing!
  5. Basically just enjoy myself, because it'd be stupid not to!
  6. Don't blow all my money on non-essentials!!
I think that covers most of it... What do you think?
